Highly unlikely.
Moshiri will keep bankrolling things so he can cash in once BMD is finished but, bankrolling of the managers is likely to be far more restrictive because of the money he's having to divert into the stadium.

If anything he should be increasing the £55mil net spend per year.

My issue isn't wih Moshiri. He's an investor at the end of the day and seems to want what's best for us as it's also whats best for him. He's bankrolled a succession of failures though - not many of the managers we employed were expected to fail so miserably. The problem has been the lack of continuity and haphazard playing styles that have seen us reach the point where we really are a mishmash of a squad that are not and will never be succesfull without major changes. Nobody wants to buy the players we need to sell - and the ones we want to keep seem unsettled. For that reason we have to hope his latest gamble of hiring Benitez can work. If Benitez manages to get rid of the dross he's been worth the appointment. I'd personally start with Brands who has had a large part to play in the terrible squad we have. Gonna be a tough year though.

Unless you suggest he expects to be "challenging at the top of the league" by spending less on transfers and less on wages than those he claims he expects to compete with?
There are such things as the PL P&S rules - that we’re conceivably likely to breach this year - to be taken into consideration.

So unless or until we lighten the financial load by either dramatically improving our revenue by means of acquiring a lucrative sleeve sponsor or better commercial partnerships/sponsorships and/or lowering the wage bill by reducing the first team squad head count, we can’t spend any more on players.

Somehow, Benitez and the coaching staff need to find ways to extract more from the players already here and, Unsworth and the Academy staff need to massively improve the numbers of players coming from the u21 and u23 teams who are capable of stepping up to the first team.

Shocking mismanagement from our owner to have ended up in that position.
