The thing is he actually had the right idea in hiring Koeman, it blew up spectacularly in his face, something no one could have foreseen at the end of 2016/17. He didn’t need to panic into hiring Allardyce and someone at the club should have told him so, he should have walked away after the first time Watford said no regarding Silva and not gone back in for him. He is trying to do the right things for the club, he’s shown he can make the call to fire a manager
