So interesting that ConnorFrandelino for those of us following this closely. Moshiri has obviously decided following the summer / stall in the stadium development that he is going to get more heavily involved. Walking in with Allardyce and Walsh was huge, especially after Hunter / Prentice had slated them all in recent days.

It also solves the mystery behind Keith Harris being appointed to the board, and by whom.

It would appear Corrupt Sam has been asked not really to just keep us safe (which we will do anyway) but essentially do the 'root and branch' review of the playing squad while big Ryazantsev will be there to do the same to the comms and management departments.

Huge changes incoming again then.

Indeed. As the old adage goes, if you want something doing, do it yourself. Expect some more micromanaging. Needs must. Settle the nerves, get points on the board over the coming six weeks then push BMD in the new year. Perhaps then the last six months might fade.

So...Moshiri doing what he promised...changing things. Even the appointment of Allardyce has its own particular reasoning. He will sort out the playing side,including the attitude of the playing staff and the Russian will sort out and 'upgrade' Evertons admin. Despite what some may think of Allardyce, he is /was probably the best available to do what Mosh has in mind. Within 18 months the whole Everton operation will be slicker, smoother and more efficient. Sam will have done his job,the Schneiderlings and Mirallas axis will be gone,and Everton move forward to the next stage. I personally don't think Sam was hired primarily as a relegation fire fighter...there was never a great chance of us going down,but he has been hired to clean up and focus the coaching and playing side. So I agree with orlys post (this time!)

Think on this as well....Everton will never be successful unless they are given the same chance as other clubs, and Everton must not, therefore hamper themselves ,handicap themselves, by sticking to outdated,emotional 'Everton values'. We must level the playing field up as much as we can,and if this means being more ruthless and slightly less 'wonderful',so be it. As long as BK is around there will be an active soul to Everton, but we must remember that you don't win anything trophy wise without ruthless determination these days.

As I mentioned elsewhere, the Jim White situation is unpalatable but I think it may be because Moshiri doesn't trust our comms department (and the individuals with day to day influence over it) to deliver his messages effectively or unadulterated. As far as I can see, he's only had that one introductory section in a matchday programme last February. The AGM was him in front of a live audience so couldn't be misappropriated.

Keith Harris was the one who introduced Kenwright & Moshiri. Kenwright initally got him looking for investment as well. Maybe this was a phased plan all along or Moshiri is accelerating things.

It'll be interesting to see what Ryazantsevgets up to with his USM FF role.

Why is that Moshiri's fault? He's shown time and time again he'll front the money but he doesnt do the negotiations for players.

All based on the Lukaku sale and if Barkley had not walked out on Chelsea he would have made a profit

Of course mate, but as said in the reply above me why blame Mosh for no replacement for Lukaku?

We might see a big turn around in players in January again, but one thing he cannot be accused of is being tight with player acquisitions.

I had actually forgotten that Onyekuru could be coming in January, this has actually cheered me up a little.

I believe you will look back on this and realise you might have been a tad pessimistic.

He still reinvested the whole lot, unlike the previous stewardship.

With Barkley, you're mad if you'd turn down £35m for a player who has 1yr left on his contract and has no intention of signing, the same way Arsenal were mad to swerve £50m bids for Sanchez.
