Farhad Moshiri: Ronald Koeman Statement

The Burnley result is not the reason everyone is panicking, it is the dire football we have served up all pre season and all matches to date.

We don't create hardly anything in front of goal, so when we do get chances like on Sunday when sig was through and should have shot, we need to score.

If a team scores 1st its game over, Koeman does not change things to prove otherwise.

Like I have mentioned on previous post this is relegation form, teams who struggle to score go down

We should have beaten Burnley.

But we didn't. They're a settled, well-drilled side who play to their strengths and have confidence from three impressive away results.

We're a side that, at the moment, don't have a way of playing and a chronic lack of confidence.

They played well and apart from a positive opening 20 minutes, we didn't do anything of note to deserve anything from the game.

That's pretty much what it boils down to.
That's exactly what i'm saying.

Despite what some of the really weird responses on here would suggest, nobody's saying Burnley are the worst team ever to play the game. They're an average team who we should expect to finish above, and losing to sides like that - and losing quite comfortably if we're honest - in addition to the 'expected' losses, means that we're genuinely looking at a bottom half finish unless things change soon. I've said before that I think we will turn it round, but every week that goes by without it happening brings the spectre of a disastrous season closer.

Losing to Burnley was disappointing, but this is a side that comfortably beat the champions and nearly won at Anfield.

Beating sides like Burnley is hard when you're in a rut, and the main reason we're in a rut is because the fixture computer was unkind to us.
It's not easy to prove yourself wrong in your own 20 word post but fair play to you Jase, you've nailed it there.

Moshiri is going to get dragged under the bus with Koeman.

It will start with Brighton.

I honestly think we could be hounding the board , moshiri and koeman out if we lose to brighton.

that will leave us in tricky situation regards the stadium.

Well its getting close to results or bust time for Koeman now in any case.

You don't get a vote of confidence only to need it again 3 or 4 games later, pressure is on now.

For our sake, rather than his, I hope he finds answers.

Whatever loyalty Moshiri has towards him will evaporate quickly when there is no other option to take to plug such a huge leak.

We need a bigger personality at the helm, you need to go back to Joe Royle's days for the last of those.

He's made some great decisions on the face of it. Getting Koeman was without a doubt a good choice first season, who'd have thought this would happen?

Huge decision to make next though.

No matter what has come, and what will come after, the next decision Moshiri has to make will be critical to how his legacy lives at Everton.

Personally i suspect he’s not here for the long term. But he won’t want to be remembered as the one to relegate Everton.

But it begs the questions as to who we could get, who would want to come here, who would actually make any difference right now?

Can any manager make our defence less old? Can any manager magic a striker out of nothing? Can any manager resist playing Rooney?

It’s an impossibly difficult situation. Over to you Mr Moshiri.

Whoever is to be our next manager, they've got a difficult job on their hands.

Can't defend, can't score and confidence at a low ebb. It's hard to see us beating anyone in the Premier League currently.

Years of neglect in the transfer market - through both lack of funds and lack of foresight - seemingly have come home to roost.
