How are we getting on in the last week of FPL?

I'm on the verge of winning my mini league with my pals for the first ever time in about 8 attempts. I'm 60 points ahead of my nearest rival going into Sunday. Had a bit of a shaky moment when Sterling started slotting against Watford but recovered well in the end. Squeaky bum time though. My nearest rival has the ability to take big risks that pay off. He pipped me on the last day last season so I've got a big psychological hurdle to get over.

This is my team at the moment. I have one free transfer and got my bench boost to use:

What do you reckon? Any transfers recommended?

Been terrible all season because its been impossible to do well without reds. Wont be getting involved in that though.

Get a City defender in. No way are Norwich gonna score.

we also have this in common . My outright refusal to pick RS players has hurt me so badly this year , post lockdown I’ve actually done ok because they’ve been good but not brilliant but my worst year since Suarez was unplayable I think.

I can definitely see myself overthinking it and making a hash of it. Suggestions on a Free Hit team, please

Since I set a league up amongst mates four years ago I’ve finished in the top 3 every time without winning. As things stand, I am sitting top ahead of a previous winner by THREE points. We’ve got fairly similar squads however I’ve got the Free Hit chip to use.

Thinking of choosing primarily from teams who have got something riding on the last game and slip in some City.

When I last this this Lampard got me a lot of points if that helps. I came about 30th globally and 2nd among Everton fans as I recall. Binned it in the end because I found myself wanting certain players to score against us.

Glad to see no rs in that team.

What about Pickford, Davies and Bernard for the last game? Kean up front? I'll load the revolver and point it at your foot if you like. lol

Yeah I'm thinking the same. I think he might not start to stay fresh for the CL. Might give the captaincy to a Utd player. They'll be going all out for top 4.

But then United only need a draw so may be reserved in their approach? Tbh it's just luck isn't it haha

I’m leading four mini-leagues , including the Toffeeweb and GOT no r/s versions. Thinking like @Toast , Silva for captain, I also need a defender as two of mine are crocked and I don’t want to play Ritchie. @ToffeeTim join the no r/s league next season and thanks to @Neiler for sorting it out.

The spawny lad in my work league had Pieters from Burnley in this week. Bagged a load of points. Think he’s a defender and they have Brighton I’m sure ?
