Just read this online, basically Sky are changing how they charge for the sports channels, you can still have them all for £27.50 per month, or you can choose to just have individual channels or a mix. But when you realise that to have all the Football you need 2 channels ("Premier League" and "Football"), which is £22 per month, is it really that good a deal?

Also i'm not sure how this works if you buy Sky Sports via Virgin Media

I don't think it would tempt me.... we will probably only be on Sky about 8 times and the pub near me shows all Everton games.

Everton fans who just want to watch Ronald Koeman's side can now save money as Sky Sports launched their major rebrand and renaming of their channels.

Do you love to watch Blues matches on television but aren't fussed about the England cricket team's Test match fortunes or who's leading the Masters in Augusta?

Sky have scrapped their numbered sport channels and launching sport specific replacements for football, cricket and golf.

The cheapest package will be £18 per month as Sky attempt to combat falling viewer numbers with a branding revamp that offers a cheaper viewing package.

So if you're only bothered about viewing the Blues then you're no longer going to have to pay extra for a deal that includes other sports and isn't necessarily tailored to your specific needs.

Sky already had a dedicated Formula One channel and has now followed suit with sport-specific options for other popular markets.

Football gets two channels, there are individual channels for both cricket and golf while a further new channel called Sky Sports Arena will show other sports such as rugby and tennis.

The new channel numbering is as follows: 401 Sky Sports Main Event; 402 Premier League; 403 Football; 404 Cricket; 405 News; 406 Formula One; 407 Golf; 408 Action; 409 Arena.

Previously, new subscribers had to pay £49:50 for the cheapest sports package whereas the cheapest new package will now be £18. A two channel pack will cost £22, three will cost £26 and the full package is £27:50 per month.

I've long since cared what Sky shows. I just stream them now since we are barely on.

BT Sports with CL and some premier league is good enough.

I think the new setup is to make it cheaper for the non-football watching audience. They still want to milk football fans as much as ever.

I'm confused as to what this means for my current package with BT. I have Sky Sports 1 and 2 with them but they won't exist so what happens?

You'll get 2 extra channels - one is called Sky Events and the other is Sky Extra. Basically, between them they'll show Sky's selection of events such as the Open, Cricket, F1. If you're an existing BT customer with Sky 1 and 2, you'll keep them as that's where they'll show all the prem games, but if you take the 2 extra channels it will cost you an extra £6 a month for SD or an extra £11 a month for HD. That's the gist of it.

Ill continue to illegally stream until the idiots at the premier league make it possible for me to view every single Everton match live. Im not paying £22 a month (plus BT sport subscription) for a few cherry picked games a month.

I want to watch every match live in 1080p, it's 2017 and its beyond pathetic that there is not a legit way to do this in the UK.

Premierleaguepass.com was the best thing ever while it was around
