Yes and no. There was a local guy Ray Dunbobbin (Ralph in Brookside) actor who played a Welsh man. Jones played a Welshman in an episode of Goodnight Sweetheart. In another episode of Goodnight Sweetheart Kenneth Cope was a bar man talking about Everton. Incidentally Paul Angelis (also a blue) was in an episode of Porridge playing Navy Rum

Navy Rum with the tatoo's was a boss episode.

Jimmy Mulville, he wrote and was in "That's Love!" amongst other things, loads of EFC stuff too...... Another awful sitcom I had to endure in the 80's, 'good blue him.... ' Thank god for Leonard Rossiter and rising damp repeats
