Facebook...

Started an account maybe 10 years ago due to my moms cryarsing (she's the poster child for computer-dense people); recognized it for the obvious data mining šŸ’© hole that it was, educated my mom using her account/computer and proceeded to never log in again; for all I know they should've automatically deleted my account for inactivity but something tells me they haven't. FB should hopefully die within' 3-5 years, everyone should fck it off. Sadly, due to people's computer ignorance, it became a thing in the first place, just like Apple's products.

Anything that'd ask you to verify with a photo (profile photos are fine if you want it out there in the ether for eternity, regardless) is nefarious as fck considering email addy's have been fine for as long as the internet's been a thing...there's nothing wrong with two-factor verification using your mobile and I suggest it. People get prayed on every day via the "convenience" backdoor, these younger generations who didn't grow up with this whole platform don't have a 'kin clue as much as they think "boomers" don't have a clue about its other aspects...the little rats.

Every few days Facebook asks me to log in. So today I do so, and I am asked to confirm my e-mail address, which I do. It then says I typed my e-mail address in too quickly, and so my Facebook account has been temporarily suspended! Now, I've been on t'internet since 2001, so yes, I can type my e-mail address quickly on a keyboard. I try to go in again, and it is now asking for a video selfie. I don't have a camera attached to my tower PC loaded with Windows 10, for the simple reason I do not need one.

So Facebook can go away in short jerky motions as far as I am concerned...
i came off this pile of carp maybe ten years ago.. all social media, apart from maybe grandold team (its more real!!)

.. facebook is a total and utter waste of time, and a far more sinister thing than you realise... best off out of it, if you ask me!!!

Facebook's seemingly never ending stream of notifications is extremely annoying, which is the main reason I don't bother with it.

Yes, I know that I could switch notifications off but then there is the risk of missing something interesting. I am not interested in being friends with a random stranger just because Facebook suggests that I might be!
