2019/20 Fabian Delph

It’s obvious he adds something to the squad especially when we need the game slowing down which was vital when Newcastle started pushing, he’s a great asset for away games or for when we need home games slowing down off the bench imo

Not the right time perhaps as he actually did well when he came on but he's a master of showing for the ball when under no pressure and relishes playing the most simple of balls, usually back to exactly where it came from for the other player to actually take responsibility. Any type of press and he goes hiding.

His arrogance is unreal in comparison to his ability, even if what he said to holgate is untrue. That's not a leader, that's an utter bell and footballers are quick to identify them. I've never been a fan. He'll cause issues in the future. I've zero doubt about it.

Im sure it was confirmed that that wasn't what he said at all.
It was confirmed by him though, which isn’t really confirmation at all. It was pretty clearly what he said. He’s definitely got a bit of an attitude on the pitch, I don’t really like it personally, but he’s playing very well at the moment so I can’t say I’m bothered.

City are missing him so not that average
Totally agree, he would be playing left back instead of Mendy had he stayed. I think he's exactly what we need. Vocal, aggressive and has a big opinion of himself, wasn't afraid to mix it in tge city dressing room and they all listened.

No question he made a huge difference yesterday.

When was the last time we were able to close games out? Hopefully keep him fit for that role.
