FA Cup or 5th?

Over the course of the season, you'd obviously prefer to be more consistent.

Martinez' first season was magical, and we didn't do too well in the cups, great football, week in, week out.

But you can't beat the excitement of a good cup run, 35,000 blues going down Wembley way. Sheer exhilaration. 21 years is long enough.

Bit of a no brained that.
Has to be FA Cup now and it's a trophy and the history of being 2016 winners and Europa and 5th is just Europa and no one will remember or care that we finished 5th (not that 5th is to be sniffed at).

FA cup all day long. I just our younger fans to experience winning something. Older posters still remember fondly the great days of the mid 80s and more recently (not that much more recently the cup win of 95) but it would be lovely to experience even for the older fans, winning a trophy once again.

I can't even remember what season we finished 4th in with Moyes. I'll never forget the season we won the Cup last, until we win it again that is.

The only thing we'd get for finishing 5th would be Europa League.

Winning the FA Cup also gets you the Europa League but at the same time you're labelled CUP WINNERS.

The League is pointless if its lower the fourth. Whether its 17th or 5th, its all pointless. Winning a cup will always be remembered.

What advantages do we gain finishing 5th over the cup? a bit of extra money is nothing compared to another trophy as well as guaranteed European Football at Goodison park next season!
