I cant remember the last one I watched,when I was a kid it was THE match of the season,from early morning with cameras at the hotels and on the coaches,Its a Knockout between the fans,then deciding whether to watch it on BBC or ITV,the best cup competition in the world reduced to nothing,why try when you can finish 17th and feel like a success?

Back in the day, it always seemed to be sunny at Wembley and the TV build-up was great. It made the occasion special. You could see the players were nervous as anything. Now, I suppose we should be grateful they turned up.

I agree. Although, one of the problems is the absolute saturation of football on TV. Then it was the only live game that you ever got to see. I dreamt of seeing Everton love on TV. The first time it happened was 1984 Watford (I think).
