FA Cup Final Thread - Tickets/Travel/Meet Ups Etc

Bizarrely I have just received an email from Everton informing me that:

"following the completion of the ballot and allocation process, your application for an FA Cup final ticket has been unsuccessful.

Unfortunately, the very limited allocation of tickets the Club received for the final necessitated a ballot. Your support is hugely appreciated and the fact we have been unable to satisfy all ticket applications is enormously frustrating."

Bizarre as I never applied for tickets

Thinking the exact same thing.

And come on, do you really think people havnt tried asking for tickets? If i did have a spare, i wouldnt give it to someone who posts when they want something. Id actually give it to a person who has actually earned my respect to get a ticket.

FFS.
Are you Don Corleone in disguise?
Respect FFS!

I've got a free ticket to the beamback going if anyone wants it. It'll have to be collected though as I don't trust the post to get it there in time.

I live near Banbury in Oxfordshire. Strictly pms only please - first come, first served

As it’s our first FA Cup final at the new Wembley I thought it might be fun to look at the program from 1933, our first FA Cup final at ‘old’ Wembley. In truth I’m bricking it and today is going too slow.

I’ve just picked out a few lines from the program for your entertainment.

Football is a funny game, funnier still where cup-ties are concerned. Instances are always cropping up to remind us of this fact, but seldom have so many surprises been crowded into one cup campaign as this year.

Look how often the ‘minnows’ called the tune and the ‘bigger noises’ took the count.

Money cannot always dictate, and it is just as well for the future of our great game.

It’s still a funny old game. This cup run has had its fair share of surprises along the way, ask the neighbours. Money has not always dictated which team got through, and I hope that come tomorrow the richer team will ‘take the count’ and we can copy the 1933 win. That last line is still so true in 2009.

Come on Everton.
