if there is an escort from euston, which i doubt,it will only be voluntary,
more likely from london bridge,
its not just football fans that use virgin trains at the weekends, the police wont force families of tourists into an escort to millwall,
i just ignored the police at euston in 06 and just walked out the station.
if the game is friday night, the vast majority will go by coach.

I still have nightmares about when I went to visit a mate at Preston Uni and the police forced me onto a train to Leeds with all their fans when I just wanted to go home. I was hungover to hell and the train was dry, absolute nightmare.

It certainly wasn't voluntary in 2006 and the hassle that day started in Lime Street.

Blues got alcohol took off them and stopped from going on the train so had to get taxis to Runcorn to get on it and I was thoroughly searched by Merseyside police I had to take my trainees off. Searched again in Euston and even the cash in my wallet was checked for forgories. We was caged outside of the stadium for over an hour before the turnstyles opened.

It wasn't worth the hassle so we've booked a minibus for this one.

Yeah dry trains are hell!
I usually smuggle a bottle of vodka/coke on, as with everything though if you use common sense you can avoid most unpleasant situations!
