How come that out of 32 ties, the only one worthy of a headline on thei BBC site is Newport or Plymouth drawing the RS??

The bias on the BBC towards them is unbelievable at times.

Then we will get the story about how random player from the Home Counties that plays for Plymouth is a lifelong RS supporter and has wet dreamt of playing at The Pit all his life and has a slippy poster on his wall at his Ma's blah blah blah. Painfully tedious but just one of life's little certainties, better to laugh it off, the desperate quilts.

Drawing numbered balls from a transparent drum leaves the whole draw open to manipulation.

The amount of times you see them "pick" one ball and then reject it and leave it in the drum.

Even FIFA and UEFA don't make draws in this manner.

Why oh why do the media still roll the same cliches when lesser clubs play RS manure etc
These clubs would probably love a team of equal standing and go on a decent cup run for exposure and monies from tv ,advertising and the fa .
I do understand some clubs haven't a pot to pee in and their chairmen would love a one off pay day .

I preferred when two old blokes drew the balls out of a black bag, in hushed tones and with no bellends a'hootin an a' hollerin' in the background when their team number came out.

The suspense kept building until EFC came out the bag.

I wish they would do the draw like that again.

Oh....and at lunchtime of a Monday.

Young fans are missing that thrill.....gathering round a transistor in the schoolyard or with an earphone in the classroom :(

We used to do our own draws in the schoolyard, there used to be "tags" I think they were called, it was either Shoot or Match that had them, little cardboard things that you would slot into a cardboard league table, one for each English and Scottish club.

Nobody bothered updating the league table, we would just draw from the 3rd round to the final for fun. Two tags for each game, cup your hands, shake it about, and your pal would pick the "winner" and so on.

I'm sure today's kids would find that absolutely hilarious.

Watching these in the CL and I'd imagine it'd be a similar lineup to what they'd play in the cup since they're currently focused on both not getting relegated and progressing further in the CL.

I must say - they really are mince. Porto aren't very good themselves and they're getting battered by them. I'd be absolutely shocked if we fail to win at least 4-0.

We should do ye, But Unless there is a turnaround in form over the next month then I wouldn't be too confident!
