Merc's strategy for Russell has been too defensive, they should have gone for 3 stops to attack Red Bull

Red Bull are almost a second a lap quicker than Russell in clean air, Russell was never finishing ahead of them.

Race looks done to me, no one left who can challenge Red Bull on pace. Easy 1-2.

Safety car won't improve things either such is the pace difference

Russell is now 32 secs behind Verstappen having made the same number of stops - pretty poorly played by Mercedes

Hamilton has driven a good recovery here - he's effectively made the 2-stopper work and will attack Bottas for 5th place and has been faster than Sainz
