For me that is another example of where Mercedes don't have it all together as a team.

They should clearly have talked about what happens at a SC restart in the event they are controlling the race. If they both are on the same page then its much easier to defend from a marauding Red Bull behind.

5s penalty is a bit of a joke for Verstappen. Should be a 10s penalty for causing a collision.

There's zero chance Verstappen was ever making that corner and keeping it on track. Hamilton ends up in the wall if he doesn't turn in there. Usual dirtiness. If Mercedes are back at it next season I fully expect one of them to be killed

Verstappen is an exponent of "let me through or we're crashing" school of overtaking.

This has been his best season by far, but he still has developing and maturing to do imo.

Im not sure it matters if Hamilton gets to second and can challenge Russell, much easier for Merc to cruise to a 1-2 provided Perez and co are out of the picture later in the race. Why let their drivers race when they are in position to have their best result of the season ?

Russell really should win this now. Faster car, optimal strategy, main challengers have fallen by the wayside
