F1 is one of the few things worth getting excited about right now.

I'm genuinely looking forward to the season because we should have the privilege of watching one of the greatest drivers in history with undoubted THE greatest team in history raise the bar by which all future competitors will be judged.. some people may find that boring but I have nothing but total admiration for their relentless pursuit of perfection, which is what F1 is all about.

The narrative of the current incumbent vs the next generation trying to rise and and eventually surplant the previous generation is in play now, with Hamilton, soon to be 36 but still at the peak of his powers fending off the next generation of Verstappen & Leclerc who look like they would mop up in his absence. How long can he keep going, all the while building his own legacy while delaying theirs?

Passing of the torch in same way when Alonso unexpectedly - I think it's fair to say - dethroned the Schumacher/Ferrari train.
 
This season....is going to be boring. In my opinion. Back to the usual tracks in exactly the same cars...the only interesting thing will be the competition within the teams & some of the driver personalities.

I'm really excited to see Sainz in the Ferrari, Gasly Vs Tsunoda, Perez vs Verstappen (Verstappen will wipe the floor with him, genuinely think Perez is very good - but very overrated). I also can't wait to see Vettel in the Aston - fully believe he'll be back to his best.

The most interesting thing about this season however...is going to see the reaction to Mazepin every race - especially when fans are back.
 
Anyways that midfield battle will be very interesting, I want McLaren to do well and hopefully get P3 in constructors and will be interesting how good that merc engine will be. I also want to see gasly and Russel do well aswell.

Yeah, it will be interesting how much better the merc will be, I think Hamilton will still win, enough of his personality, he still is a good driver, you have to be to be a 7 x championship winner. I’m going to go Lewis and max P1 P2
