Track position looks key in this race, the mercs need to pit before red bull, but when doing that you run the risk of a safety car giving a cheap stop to the ones who wait.

Max will do well to get 2nd here, by the looks of it. He's probably got one chance at undercutting Bottas.

It's why there's no reason to try and create a big gap in the lead, as safety cars are virtually nailed on.

I think it's a good decision by Mercedes as long as things don't go wrong. It's lovely to hear Max and Horner crying over the radio.
