It's one of them. Usually I'd be fine with it because he's got all summer, but last summer coupled with the fact that every day in the Echo we seem to be saying 'we're not actually after this guy' rather than 'we're chasing this guy' is starting to do my head in.

Want it over and done with early so I can enjoy my summer.

Thats how I feel. We were told that the club wished to avoid last Summers joke. Moyes must surely have his targets, he must know how much hes got. Go and sign them FFS?

Don't be silly. We've got to dither as long as possible over it all.

i voted before reading the post, it says these are exciting times for the club. i'm excited about where david moyes has taken us and where he is going to take us, so yes i would say i'm excited

i somehow doubt that "times" was meant to refer to this summer, rather i think it refers to this era in everton history

Get a grip, we will sign players by the end of the transfer window thats all that matters.

Its not tho. Have you forgotten the fact that we started utter crap last Season, if we had picked up just a few more points at the start we would be CL this Season.

Moyes himself said that was because his new players needed time to settle.

I'm a bit up and down to be honest. every time I log on here and see there's new posts on one of the transfer news threads, I start to feel that tingle in my trousers. But then I read that the subject has signed for Bolton or Catania.
I prefer it when I read through 4 new pages of a slanging match between two of you fekkers which has f all to do with the thread

Even silly rumours have seemed to have died down. Only thing to be excited about so far is the selling of a key defender and joe ledley

Why have people got this "It's sound, we'll be alright" attitude all the time.

The fact is, we aren't doing any better in the transfer market, and we need to, because other teams are!

We're going to get left behind sooner or later...unless it all changes for us that is.

I'm not even arsed who we bring in, it's gone too far for me to really care because i don't expect much from the current board. I'll just be happy with whoever we bring in, except for Hunt.

Strange how that gets said every year.

Last summer it was all "Spurs and Villa have spent big and will leave us behind"

Last season was arguably our best in your generations lifetime. In that respect, "it's sound".

If your already fuming about transfer activity - time to stop refreshing football news websites and get out there and ride a bike or something.

The squad are back in training next week, after last season it is obvious that any new players have to be in sooner rather than later to get a decent pre-season, get to know players and systems. I still think Lescott will go, and without Jags to start with we need to sort out CBs.

Waiting till deadline day, 31st August, when we have already played a few games, is utter shoite.

The names we are being linked with are of lesser and lesser quality as time goes on. I'm certainly not excited, I am very worried, especially when we see Citeh, probably Spuds, Sunnerland and Pompey with new investment, and Villa in the market for decent names.

Top ten anyone?

I stopped refreshing ages ago. Now I just check newsnow in the morning and last thing at night. But its pointless anyway, as normal we will sign somebody that isnt on anybodys radar.

Im sure we will get players in, its a given, would have just preffered to get them in early this year.

The thing is, we shouldnt even be bothered about whats behind us, we should be worrying about whats in front of us. But we can dismiss City and Spurs at our peril.
