Does mike walker qualify. We were crap before. During and after his reign but swapping cottee for burrows is probably the worst bit of transfer buisness I can remember any of our managers ever doing

Moyes did well for us maybe ------He did much much better for himself.

Dead right. That's the way of football now though isn't it? Howard Kendall - fantastic bloke in real life, Everton through and through. There isn't the same loyalty now as their was i guess. Not being melancholy for the old days at all. It's just the way footballers are. Hibbo and Ossie or Carragher and Stevie-G-Lar - those local lads as players who are loyal to their home clubs are always going to be in ever bigger minorities right now but in time all 4 of them will go down as local lads who did well and stayed loyal. They might not be the best players to have ever played for either club but they'll always be well-liked and well respected in the city for the blokes they are?

Neville by a huge margin

Special place in my heart for Osman when he finally does the right thing

Alan Stubbs

Love this thread, just feel the anger pouring out of people, its great!

Unless somebody has already said him, I'd like to put forward Richard Dunne. He was fairly crap in the grand scheme of things but because he was "performing a little better" than everyone else at the time, got too big for his boots, got pissed, demanded a transfer if I remember because we were a sinking ship and went to Man City, where Keegan gave him an ultimatum by saying "if you don't stop getting bladdered, I will transfer list you but only clubs in Div 3 will take you as I will tell everyone you're a pisshead"

Andy Gray
Let's pick the top three and turn it into a poll: I bet you Andy Gray would be in that top three and give the top dog a run for his money. Strange when you think of it because he did so well for us. But was such a knob in every other area of life and football

Couldn't agree more with this. I'm always surprised when I hear anyone talking fondly of Bilic. The man was a leech and bled us dry when we really didn't have a pot to urinate in!! Think he got so many red cards so he didn't have to play many games.
I've got his shirt somewhere in the loft !

Remind me how many times did he ask to leave to get a pay rise?

Thats not loyalty matey thats blackmail in footballing terms.

And its Barmby-Neville-Moyes for me

Barmby.

I laugh at Gosling. I also laughed at how well it all ended for that Sean Doherty lad who abandoned us because he thought he could do better at Fulham.

Neville used to drive me to despair for much of the time he played for us, but I don't dislike the fella.

Arteta is a snidey tit, but I loved him when he was our snidey tit.

Abel Xavier pushed the same line Barmby did to go that way, so he's earnt some ire there.
Wasn't impressed with Bilic or Nyarko.
Alexandersson, what a waste of a pair of boots. VDM, what a waste of a naff haircut. Drenthe, what a waste of raw pace and strength.

If the truth comes out that Distin has thrown a strop and made demands - that coupled with a certain semi final could see him elevated in the disliked stakes (although probably unfairly).
