Everton's worst premiership squad

Glad somebody else has rated Paul Holmes so badly. He was dire. We have had so many crap players we could easily make 2 sides up.

I felt quite sorry for him. It was a big step up for him with a manager who left shortly after he arrived (Kendall)

He only ever seemed to play against the good clubs of the era too which didnt help him.

But yeah he was out of his depth totally.

...that Mick Ferguson was useless as was the goalie David Lawson. Think it was Mike Walsh that we bought from Blackpool after scoring goal of the season and I would throw Denis Straq in the mix - I know he's a cult hero but he has to go down as one of the worst players I have seen.

Premiership era:

Glk :Iain Turner
RB: Marc Hottinger
CB: John Heitinga
CB: Slaven Billic
LB: John O'Kane

RM: Mitch Ward
CM: Claus Thomsen
LM: John Oster

ST: John Spencer
ST: Stuart Barlow
ST: Brett Angel

Terry Phelan didnt have a bad game for us. He just didnt play much due to injury.

There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with Carl Tiler during his time with us. Didnt put a foot wrong. Its weird, he seems to have been thrown into worst team list through word of mouth or something. I question how many people actually watched him play for us. Decent solid CB who again just didnt play a ton of games for us.

Im sick of defending him now...

Can't defend himself can he? ;)

Worse keeper,Jason kearton then there's vinny samways, mark Hughes and Jon oster

Oster was a huge let down but he did have a couple of good games I suppose which is more than can be said for some.

Hughes is a decent shout, great player in his day of course but did nothing for us.

Kearton didnt really do enough for me to consider him.

I think he means 2012/13 Heitinga.

But with regards to the rest of Heitinga's Everton career, putting him in the worst prem 11 would be silly.

I seriously think he has had 2.5 shocking years and 1/2 a decent season. Money comes into it as well, people have put Li Wiefing in their team, who we got as part of shirt sponsorship and I dont think he ever played a premier league game. What did we pay for Heitinga? £5million maybe. His performances against Villa and Albion at home were beyond shocking, he's a hardman who ****s out of 50/50 challenges, slower than maggie guay with cement blocks on and can't win headers.

Apart from that, he's boss

Threads like this give me nightmares realising what crap we have put on the field of play, the grass at Goodison should be 12ft high with all that fertiliser...................................arrggghhhhh

Wessels or Kearton
Holmes or Cleland for the coveted Tony spot (i.e. a number 2 who wasn't going to score)
Li Wei Feng and Carl Tiler in the centre of defence
Brian Borrows scraping the barrel on the left hand side.

A midfield of Mitch Ward (or was it Mark, who knows or cares?), Thomsen and Degn, Billy Kenny

Barlow and Angell deserve each other.

Jeffers mark 2 or 3 as the impact sub.

FFS that team would have won the Premier League - the Northern Premier League!!
