Landon Donovan I think is a good possiblility.. couple reasons:

1: #9 left open
2: MLS is showing they will sell their big names.. i.e. Sacha Kjlestan (plus Thierry Henry and other names are likely)
3: Donovan loves Everton like Goat loves cake..

I think our squad now is capable of big things if healthy, no need to spend big IMHO.

Kjlestan? Attacking Mid.. He was at one point the US's next big thing.. Than he got with a super model and shaved his head, has never been the same.. Still young though, just signed by Belgium league winners.

The big thing of course is not to lose any more players, maybe loan out a couple of strikers, no more than that. I'm quite confident that Pienaar and Arteta will be staying, in which case I don't expect to see much more in the way of signings. Moyes will have areas though that he's looking to strengthen and will keep on exploring possibilities right up to transfer deadline. What positions might he be looking at ? I'd think a pacy midfielder, maybe someone who can improve our right hand side; and cover for left back - maybe someone who can play another position as well. I'd love us to sign Donovan, but the fact that the no 9 shirt is vacant is of no significance, I'm very doubtful whether we'll be making a move for him.

For now, anyway. He's a shark in a fishtank in the MLS: I think he knows he should leave, but Arena's a right knob and won't have a bar of it.
