Everton's first result after you were born...

This reminds me of a couple of months ago when me and my mates were bored offshore and decided to find out "What our parents were listening to when we were concieved", and all looked up what was number one in the UK charts 9 months before we were born. I was mortified to find out that there was a distinct possibility that my dad was bashing my mum to the sound of the Village People's Y.M.C.A.

Oh, and BTW, with regards to the post, it was 0-0 at home to Man U in October 1979!

Ha Ha, fantastic idea. Mine could be dedicated to Evertons forward line "Only the Lonely" by Roy Orbison.

Sat 8th August 1970 Charity Shield at Wembley, beat Chelski 2-1. goals by Kendall & Alan Whittle. Attendance was only 43,547 though.
This wouldn't take into account any pre-season friendlies though of course.
Born In May 1970 so Everton were newly crowned Champions and England were still world champions, just.

When we were in hospital and my wife was trying to push out our first child, I had Radio 5 live on and we lost 2-1 to city.

I don't think the midwife was that impressed (with me, not the score).

Especially as later on when my Mrs went into theatre for an emergency C-Section I wondered off to the restaurant thinking they'd be hours and came back to find the midwife holding said child...."where have you been!"

The first game after I was born

Almost 49,000 people at Goodison saw Everton beat Northampton Town 5-2 with two apiece from Pickering and Temple and a goal from The Golden Vision himself.

10th February 1962 - exactly 50 years ago. A crowd of 54,369 packed into Goodison that day to see Everton draw 2-2 with Burnley. Two goals from Roy Vernon (who finished the season with 26 league goals).
