Everton Youth Teams Thread

Huh, Gareth Prosser left in the summer to join Al Jazira Sports in UAE as academy director. Carl Darlington is currently academy director.

It will be interesting to see what sort of changes Nick Cox brings. He had an experienced pro as a player-coach at U21 at ManU so I guess that's one thing that will happen quite quickly.

Apparently there is a U16 tournament this weekend that we have a team in, but can’t find any other details on it.
This is the one, u16 Premier League Tournament, I’m not sure how teams progress from these details, there maybe more on the PL site.

The Guardian included Amari Moses as the EFC pick in their annual Next Generation youth roundup of PL clubs. Quite interesting going through the older editions (which get updated every year for about five years).

Whilst I wouldn't have picked him I don't think Moses is that egregious of a pick. Though I also don't think Hunter has watched a minute of any of them, much more likely that the club have given him a name -for whatever reason that may be.

Haha, I was convinced it would be Olayiwola based on their previous modus operandi of just picking the most convenient youth international. Refreshing in a way as it suggests he looked at others. Although their success rate is pretty low when you look back.Personally, if you’re going to go a bit outside the norm and a non - international I’d have gone for Ray Robert .
