He has quit playing now, just does a 6-a-side league and has a kick about and a pint we me and some old duffers once a week.

He was fed up with organised or weekend football.

His age and constant rejections imo is what killed it for him, he is 20.

Find that a lot to be fair, i can imagine so many footballers by 23 just see at as a job

As long as he's doing what makes him happy that's how it should be.

Shame that mate. Your a long time retired so sad to see he lost his love for the game. I kept going till I got to 40 open age and had to call it a day cos the Yellows were racking up and the Chinese kits we started buying were anything other than XL! I think I retired more through shame as I looked like a conker full of walnuts towards the end! He’s still young enough to get back into it, comararderie & down right abuse from footy changies is hard to turn down!

I quite like this trophy from our perspective, away games against League1/2 sides is a good opportunity to see how they can shape up against more physically developed opponents, particularly our promising u18s.
