I really thought this lad would make it at Everton. He might still do it just going the long way around it.

I liked Alan Irvine when he was our Academy Manager , and I thought it seems a good fit age wise from Moyes to Irvine to Baines , then i realised Irvine is 66! As I’m older than him I’m the last one to be ageist , but hopefully there’s a plan somewhere to bring younger coaches like Seamus into the system.

He was relatively near the first team when Benitez was here though but then spent about 2 years injured

Made the bench in the 1-1 away draw at Old Trafford (Townsend) and thats about it.
Hardly Mackenzie Hunt or Kyle John levels of bench making, Luke Butterfield as some catching up to do too

….as I posted elsewhere, his job at West Ham ended up being more on the technical side. More specifically watching future opponents etc. By the way, I’m older than him too, so I remember him playing for us.

Don't know why but I always thought you were much younger than that.
