To be fair though, if U21 results actually meant something we could field a team with (off the top of my head) Tyrer, Patterson, Branthwaite, Welch, Warrington, Onyango, Mills, Chermiti, Cannon and Dobbin and do much better.

Not seen him. Not sure why he's not getting a start tbh. If he's not a good bit better than what we had out there there's no point at all in signing him.

Thanks for your reply, maybe he’s not up to match fitness, he refused a contract with Chelsea after coming through their junior ranks so possibly he hasn’t done much pre season training.

International break news. Doug Lukjanciks has been named in the England U17 squad for a tournament in Spain . Branthwaite in the U21 squad .I think they’re the only two England players, but there may be some others with other countries , like Apter Scotland, Morgan for Cymru.

Re above , no Morgan at Cymru u17s , but Luis Gardner is included, I think I saw his name on our u18 bench recently , so still a Schoolboy. He played u15s for Cymru with two other Everton players Marlie Neil, Jayden Lienou earlier this year.

Morgan has fell out of favour but I'm pretty sure that's an 07 group so Morgan isn't eligible. Gardner has been playing up and starting for that side for a while. Jagielkas lad started playing for them as well, he's at Liverpool.
