Everton Youth Teams Thread

Can any of you regular Youth Team watchers identify these 2 in the bibs from yesterday's practice match?

I like Tyrer, I think he’s been the best young keeper to come through in recent years. I dont see what the coaches see in training and so I fear he’s dropped down the order in their eyes. Crellin came in last season and could be the one to shine in the u21s / training with the 1st team this season, whereas a year on Tyrer will be 21, and trying to convince people that he’s had a good season at a 6th tier club may be difficult. I don’t disagree with a loan, I just think we could have done better for him than a club whose players are part time.

Thought Crellin looked poor myself.

Harry Tyrer is a very competent goalie imo, nothing fancy about him just gets the job done and with good distribution qualities, playing for Chester has nothing to do with his ability he is good enough to play in higher leagues but it might be harder to get regular games with them, might be better if he stays training with Everton and plays for Chester on match days.

Halid Djankpata is the one making the tackle, featured regularly for U18 last season as a mdifielder. Left is Sean McAlister, who’s just signed a one-year-extension.

Few of the recent scholars involved also, likes of Ishe-Samuels Smith who played at left centre half and left-back Jack Butler. Probably a couple more involved also

Nice to see Djankpata involved, Heath and Jagne too are there , and Crellin in a shot with DCL , plus some of the older u21s.
