While the Branthwaite/ Simms changes made a difference almost uncommented on was how well Astley played at right back in the first half. Ferguson looked good 1st half , but not a big threat when Astley was there and Dobbin also benefitted from a few balls from Astley . All changed in the second half for both Ferguson and Dobbin , one got more room without Astley marking him, the other got fewer opportunities without Astley.
Bohemians in Ireland maybe 2 years ago. He was with St Kevin boys before that who produce a lot of good players
His father was a former pro in the lower leagues.

Branthwaite oozes class and is clearly better than U23's, would like to see him given minutes instead of Holgate.
Indeed, I think the issue is given his age at PL level he needs to play alongside a top class centre back who can guide him, help him learn and I don’t believe we have such a CB . Maybe Mina .
Played for the Irish u21s already too so be a big addition to Ireland as well

Is it Connolly who gets a game for Brighton when Maupay is injured (small fella). He's absolutely crap, comes from the same school as Niasse as in tries to avoid getting into positions to receive the ball and miss chances.

Connolly looked promising. But his attitude is terrible and wants all the attractions of been a premier league footballer without working at it. His family are salt of the earth people too.

Dobbin, Simms, Branthwaite, Tyrer should all be in the squad from Brentford and I'd go as far as saying Warrington would be more useful than having Gbamin on the bench as its obvious Benitez isn't going to use him whatsoever.
Warrington isn't afraid to receive the ball and just keeps things ticking over.
I'd rather have Dobbin or Hughes on than putting up with the kind of performances Iwobi has put in. Coleman and Digne are very fortunate that we don't have anyone really pushing in the full back positions currently
