Everton Youth Teams Thread

We've had an academy player in every match day squad since 14th October 1995.

Further to the England U17 World Cup squad, while the U17s who got them there are still eligible, they appear to have moved up en block to the England u18s playing two games in Holland in September as u18, then off to the World Cup as "u17".We should have the three previously mentioned going to the WC.

It will then be interesting to see who of the new crop of Scholars makes it into the u17 international set up. I would assume Evans to be a certainty, and Lavery ( N Ireland) and Harrington (Wales) have already played at this level.

Maybe i should have put this in here

U21 squad v Everton: Lloris, Voss, Amos, Azzaoui, Ball, Carter-Vickers, Coulthirst, Harrison, Lesniak, Maghoma, McEvoy, Oduwa, Ogilvie, Pritchard, Sonupe, Walker-Peters.

Most of those are in the 18-19 age bracket - apart froom Lloris!

I have seen all of those play i think (not sure about Ball?) & most of them are excellent prospects but it could well be men against boys if EFC put out an older, more experienced side.

Generally our U21s are very young too, the captain is only 17 so it should be an even match up. Not sure ours will get many past Lloris though!

That will be older than our under 21's mate. I imagine we'll be 18 and below. As indicated above last seasons captain as a 17 year old. We tend to send our 18-19 year olds out on loan.

Yep I think we have the youngest U21 team around. We don't tend to have any 20/21 year old players who aren't either out on loan or in the first team. Even now we've loaned out Kenny (captain last year) and Dyson (striker) and they are only 18.

We have a good back line with

Lloris, Ogilvie, Maghoma, CCV & Walker-Peters.

Should be interesting.

Is the young 16 year old who played at England under 17's playing today mate? He looks a prospect. In all likleyhood you would want Spurs to beat Everton at this level as we tend to have a very young side. Sides like Liverpool and Manchester United treat the reserves very seriously, but we have almost it off as a competitive entity.

EFCU21 starting XI (to play @SpursOfficial): Hewelt, Jones, Pennington, Connolly, Robinson, Walsh, Williams, Davies, Grant, Evans, Byrne.
#EFCU21 substitutes: Stanek, Ledson, Charsley, Donohue, Yates.

Spurs U21s (v Everton): Lloris, Walker-Peters, Ogilvie, Lesniak, Ball, Carter-Vickers (c), Azzaoui, Harrison, Coulthirst, A Pritchard, Oduwa
