Evans maybe? Feel like the first 4 are the most likely, then Evans and Adeniran. Don't know enough about Iverson, who someone else also mentioned. This is mainly going off reports on here and highlights tho.
I think that’s just a straightforward like for like replacement for Markelo, I don’t think you can read too much as a comparison with Gordon/Simms not starting. Iversen has done well when captaining the u18s , I’ts good he’s been given a start , would have liked to see Joe Anderson given a go at left back , Charsley is not going to progress in that position.

3 or 4 yrs ago i'd have said evans would be a cert, good example of how hard it is to judge a 16 yr old.
I didn't mean to suggest he was more highly rated than the others, I was just saying it seemed odd to be leaving out the youngest player in the side as a possible first teamer, but it was only because he hadn't noticed the name on the teamsheet.

I agree Anderson at LB would be better than Charsley. Charsley will probably leave in the summer and will not catch anyones eye playing at left back. He is a midfielder similiar to Osman really and so if he is playing needs to be in either Adeniran position or the number 10.

...cheers. Good to see Anthony Gordon making an impression when he came on. The lad can do no more than that and confirms he’s certainly a talent, tremendous goal in the Youth Cup as well.
Couple of big games this week! Weird to see Derby doing so well. Do they normally put out decent youth teams, or is this a generational thing do you know?

Ive no idea to be honest-the u23s have won 5 in a row or 7 from last 9 depending what way you want to look at it,,while the u18s are 2 points off top from us winning 7 from last 8 [or 8 wins from last 10]-only lost v us in that run,there only 2 loses have actually been v us,though played a game more-so they are both doing well

There appears to be so many players in the u23s who will never progress to the first team.
Looks like there will be a huge cull in the summer and perhaps a few faces brought up from the u18s along with some signings.
In previous years theres been one or two players touted as being close to the first team but this season i dont think anyones posted anything like that...
