Been with the u23s since he was 16, when he first came in he was a goal scoring no.10 but recently been playing wide and also played a few times at full back. Hit a bit of a plateau but seems to have kicked on again in last few months.

He’s from the same intake as Benigime and Feeney , and while not directly comparable playing wise to them he was ahead of them in August 2015, now you would say behind them both in terms of closeness to 1st team squad. He captained the U23s the other night from a wide right position,while he had a short loan spell at Morecambe the other season he needs a full loan out this season. I think preseason will help determine if it’s at a Championship club or League 1. He needs game time at senior level, so more games at League 1 mayn be preferable to fewer in the Championship. There was also a suggestion that a growth spurt had hampered his progress, he’s well over 6 foot now, so time for him to kick on.
