Is this the most Everton players ever to play in a world cup?

I can't ever remember there ever being as many as 8??

Really hoping to see Mikel sneak in for Spain. Any chance Vic makes Nigeria squad? I don't see why not.

And, can we throw Landon in there for old time's sake? It would make me feel warm inside.

Vic could feature, and I'll certainly be following Landon in South Africa :)

A mate was suggesting we might have more interest (in terms of teams with players from our team) than any other club in the PL. Do you think this is the case?

Really glad to see a thread like this. The World Cup is the event everyone wants to play in - regardless what people say about it. It's a festival of football and the ones I have seen have had some wonderful goals and major talking points.

Especially after this season, which has by in large been rather dull compared to others - I am looking forward to this World Cup.

Hear, hear mate.

It's great, the world's best players playing for their national pride and even though I hate all that tosh, it makes super soccer. Some boss goals along the way too.

And best of all: me, in various public houses of Liverpool City Centre with assorted fine friends quaffing a wide variety of beers whilst watching games in the afternoon.

Life simply does not get much better.

His star, although brief, shone brightly.
