I messaged the commentator at half time and told her to stop calling West Brom a Tier 6 team. She must have listened as she then went back to been right as in they are a Tier 3 team  . They did seem to make out like they were better than what they were to me. West Brom hardly got a sniff of goal 1st half and got better a touch when we were 5up - one of them actually said they had 1 shot 1st half
What she meant was they played like a 6 tier 😆

I still think that the original ideas for the woman at Goodison would've worked better. Reducing the place to something like a 10k stadium with a scalled down purpose built old schol style Gwladys Street, Goodison Road and Bullens Road stands to go with the maintained Park End would work better. The remainder of the space can be used for EITC projects and the like, then in the future if attendances go up, expansion can happen. I know attendances have increased from normal this season but even so, it can't feel good for the woman to be playing in such an empty stadium. Surely if you want the best for them and to seriously make this move to Goodison Park work then you can see that it would be better if changes where made.

Interesting story on the BBC Sport website about WSL finances. We seem to be the only big team that's made a loss. Is this linked to the transfer of Goodison to the Women's team? Certainly room for revenue growth in the future.

Its definitely down to that. The cost of operating Goodison for a comparatively small crowd is going to hurt them long-term. Its such a shame because the woman team deserves support and the possibility of growth. Them having Goodison Park is a great idea but the way we've gone about it has been terrible. The move can and will work if the club actually put some real thought and effort into it.

The nostalgic in me would love to see the old ground full. At least those sections still open like Lower Gwladys, Park and Family Enclosure. I still think the potential for growth is huge and Everton just need to tap into that potential support. Women's football has made huge strides in the last decade and will continue to expand. Hopefully Goodison will still be around to take advantage.
Be interesting to see what the season ticket take up will be for 2026/27. I'll be getting a couple next season. A good end to this season will hopefully put a few more bums on seats.

This is a worryingly common injury with women footballers, I wonder if there is a reason for it?
There's been a lot of research into this - you're correct, it seem to be more common with female players. One theory which seems to be gathering traction is that it could be slight physiological differences between males and females. Add to that the fact that football boots are essentially desgined for men - although I believe at least one manufacturer is trying to address this.

If you do a cursory web search, there's plenty of recent stuff out there which explains it way better than my attempt.

Edit to add a link:

This is a fairly recent article and mentions the pelvic area. I didn't want to mention it in case I sounded like an old mysogynist, but a friend of mine who's a surgeon explained it over a beer or 6 one night - "If you knew what women's bodies go through giving birth, you'd understand why the differences are important".
