What is so frustrating is that there is bags of talent in whichever 11 goes on the pitch but it just isn't joined up and fluent. No system, no belief and no real leadership. Talent is therefore wasted.

Time to go back to basics, maybe with a 4-4-2 with defenders who can defend, forwards who can score and a midfield that can graft and create. At least everyone would know their job.

Pickford

Holgate. Keane. Jags. Baines

Lennon. Schneiderlin. Vlasic. Siggy

DCL. Sandro/Rooney

baines was the only player that looks premier quality and worthy of wearing the shirt.

the rest look like either pub team grocks , a school boy b team or some unknown celeb in a charity match pretending they are a footballer.

special mention to the manager who has wasted the lukaku money , just had a transfer window shut and yet we still look like we need to shift most of the squad and buy 7 first team players of premier league and everton standard.

we started off unimpressive against stoke and the football class and fight has got worse from there.

Martinez's football was so dull and antolin alcaraz looked crap, it couldn't have got worse.
but then along came this team of clueless headless chickens with cuco and klassen.
the boring football was bad , but at least it looked similar to football. I don't know what this lot are doing.
patches o'houlahan's quote in the film dodgeball about doorknobs sums this mob up.
disgraceful !

Ramirez cos he nearly scored at 1-0. Haven't felt this low since 2010, when we took three points from the first six games - with a much easier sequence:

Blackburn (A)
Wolves (H)
Villa (A)
Man Utd (H)
Newcastle (H)
Fulham (A)

Still doesn't change the fact that today was just disgusting... exactly 11 years after beating the RS 3-0 and topping the league for a day.

Baines for me, he was the only one in a Blue shirt consistently looking to play the ball forward with some purpose.
Most of the time, the rest of them were looking for a safe sideways or backward pass.

That is the worst match I've seen at Goodison for many a year , there is nothing I can comment on in the positive .
Maybe one thing , Sandro did well and didn't reappear second half , I hope he was injured because it didn't make sense to leave Schneiderlin on or bring Tom Davies on .
Spurs didn't impress me , but they did enough without breaking sweat.

Yep, I was trying to think of a worse performance, I couldn't.
you never saw the 0-5 derby or more recently 1-6 v Arsenal and the 0-2 by the same team? Seen worse in my time but today was in the top 10 of bad displays. Amazed I lasted till the end tbh. We made spuds look better than they are by having a defence with the exception of Pickford (without whom the score could have been as much as 6) which was at sixes and sevens, no width on either side, and no one to put the ball in the net. There does not seem to be any recognisable tactics and a lot of the players' instinct is to go back rather than forward. I know its early days but that was unacceptable and Ronald needs to start earning his wages pdq...

Yes now you mention it I remember the derby and Arsenal game, must have sub consciously blocked them out. I'll forget today in a few years :/

Big nose scored 4 I think

2nd match in a row i couldnt pick a player in our team who deserves to be mentioned as our best player on the day. None of them. [Poor language removed] cats at home at goodison. Should be ashamed of themselves.
