Lukaku offers way more than scoring. His presence allows others to get in themselves.

Judge Lukaku's value not only on the goals he's scored (and he's done very well scoring) but the team winning.

As I've said previously, at a minimum, Lukaku draws their best defender, which opens up opportunities for others.

Yeah but even then Jelavic had absolutely no competition and whatever happened to him obviously had a massive effect.

He's our player, and Lukaku isn't.

I'm not saying start him over Lukaku but many of us on here would prefer to see Lukaku run them ragged off the bench after some of his recent performances, and Jelavic despite missing always gets chances. Which means he's doing something right.

well wonderful...he is doing something right for over a year.

i think more pertinent is that he is doing the important part horribly wrong.
