Yeah but even then Jelavic had absolutely no competition and whatever happened to him obviously had a massive effect.

He's our player, and Lukaku isn't.

I'm not saying start him over Lukaku but many of us on here would prefer to see Lukaku run them ragged off the bench after some of his recent performances, and Jelavic despite missing always gets chances. Which means he's doing something right.

Oviedo playing really well by the sound of it. I dont think Baines played very well for us after he came back from injury. Let oviedo play and Baines fight his way back into the team!

Judge Lukaku's value not only on the goals he's scored (and he's done very well scoring) but the team winning.

Ok I can't argue with that, and i'm really not trying to slate lukaku. I just, personally, think he should've done more, being our striker, in recent games. There was a run of games where he didn't even have a shot, which is a problem for me personally. Although yea if we're winning with him in the side it's alright, just want to see some competition and I don't think we should write Jelavic off as he could come into life under Martinez yet.
