Alright, I'll get it started with a video preview of the game from the Everton/Union press conference:

Things to note:
1. Mikel Arteta sighting!!!!!! Cements him as #2 behind the captain no?
2. Mikel looks bored out of his gourd. And also kinda angry. Wish we could have heard him speak.
3. I'll try and ignore Neville calling RSL "Salt Lake City" and DC United "Washington" - close enough. ;) for MLS fans
4. Neville refers to the Bury game as easy. Wish we had won by more than 2 goals then. [EDIT: Artetafan reminded me that we did - sorry!]
5. David Moyes (chuckling): "...it's never easy buying a player off the MLS though, I'll tell you that." - followed by a smile (finally) from Mikel and a giggle from Neville. Tee-hee. Gee. Wonder who they were talking about. Hope you felt your ears burning LD.
6. Poor Faryd. Looks like he wants to be anywhere but there on camera and speaking.

Last note: According to Goff of the Washington Post (he's reliable), Tim Howard will not play this game, and only "may" play against DC United. Expect to see our cadre of goalkeepers instead for both games. Tim's still on vacation from the Gold Cup. (Read further articles and apparently the Union are ticked they didn't know sooner - he's a draw and they expected him to play against his old league. Course, I would have think they could have figured this out due to USMNT play, but there you have it).

We did. 4-1 is 3 goals.

He's right that this should be a harder test, too. Looking forward to seeing how the likes of Bily and Gueye cope especially.

God. I forgot the final score. What planet am I on? Thanks. I think I was thinking of just Gueye's goals for some bizarro reason.

Apparently some of the folks who attended training heard the players talking about the humidity/heat impacting their game.

They've got an edited version of the press conference up on EFCTV (for those that can get it). Of interest, Barkley isn't ready for a full match, according to Moyes, as he is a week behind following the ankle injury. Not sure how that puts Rodwell in that case.

Checking out the videos and photos, it appears that McAleny (?) and Vellios are training with the first-team squad. Baxter didn't make it over - although I believe he should have done had he not had *cough* visa problems - while Duffy's definitely back home and Silva nowhere to be seen in the US info. Interesting to see who might be actually considered close to the real first-team squad.

I ordered this for tonight as it said kick off was 19.30 on the Everton website.

What I didn't know is that it's local time kick off so half past midnight it is.

KenWRONG ffs.

Does it start at 12.30 there? So if im doing this right i think it would at 9.30 in Victoria, Australia. Any one be able to confirm that. Thanks.
