Come on, in '84 it was a bad back pass in the League Cup by a team in yellow that (partly, the players say Stoke away) sparked Howard's success - same again please blues.

i think we'll be 2 down at half time, at which point we'll sub Howard on and he'll score a second half hat-trick before losing it and running endless circles round the edge of the pitch shouting "USA USA USA" while pulling on his beard hairs and weeping.

McCarthy surely nailed on to start with Barry missing. Galloway deserves a rest. I'd go with:

Robles
Coleman Stones Mori Oviedo
McCarthy
Barkley Cleverley
Lennon Kone Mirallas

Well We've been eliminated in 6 consecutive home fourth round ties stretching back to 1991/2 season. we last won at home in the fourth round in 1987 and that was against Norwich according to Sky. So we're due a win again I think.

Kone Upfront and Lukaku a "Super Sub" would be amazing but the who I sit by wouldn't like that!

He thinks Kone's awfull and when he Kone arrives on the pitch he groans and Moans.

But with Kone starting would give him a chance to prove that's he's not actually a bad player.

“The league is our bread and butter. That is the most important thing for us this year. We want to do well in the cup but if you are prioritising then the league is most important. I have got to have one eye on that (Manchester City). We’ll give it our all but I need to balance it off to make sure we are fresh". - Alex Neil.

Tells you all you need to know.

A lot of games this round were the better teams should all win. There is no Liverpool v Man Utd type of scenario or a "Bradford" we can hope to get at home.
I can see the semi's this year being City, Utd, Liverpool & Arsenal this year

That'll rub salt in the wounds if we get beat then knowing us. TBF I think that's the case with most if not all Prem managers these days isn't it.

Certainly was when we visited Swansea. I just don't understand rotating in a competition you can win to stay strong for one you can't.

Just got to keep going and see what happens. When top teams draw each other it just guarantees they will go through. There's a small opportunity that they could all go out this week (highly unlikely). If we want to win stuff we have to play more and more pressure games against big sides. From what I've seen this season, if we could sort out our mistakes I'd fancy us against anyone in a two leg semi.
