O`Neil free in the box.. Hibbert clears for a corner.

Corner taken.. results in open play.

ANother cross into the box headed away

Rochenbach with the ball.. passes to their left side but the ball into the box is cleared and we get a FK when Anichebe is brought down.

Boro on their right side.. looses the ball for a counter..

The last pass from Anichebe to Arteta isn't on line and we loose the chance.

Howard takes his time with the goalkick before kicking it far.

Ball to teh Boro defence.. and the ref blows!

2-0 to Everton!!! :) (y)

Quick summary...

hawaii-football in the first half, where we were lucky to grab the lead with 1-0. Better play from our side in the second half, but still no real control of the gameplay. Howard made some great saves in the first half and didn't have much to do in the second.

Pienaar got better in the second half and so did our defence. We lost a bit offensively when McFadden went off, hope it was because Moyes wants to save his strength for the UEFA-Cup match on thursday. Baines wasn't at his best this game and neither were Neville or Jags. Yak didn't get much done, but had a header cleared of the line before Lescott scored on the rebound.

Pienaar man of the match for me. He was all over the pitch, kept running all day and got a goal he deserved. Well played Pienaar.
