Take heart from the fact it cannot possibly be worse than last night. Even if we get smashed by 4 again at least we're not the laughing stock of the Kop.

The short answer is it won't.

If we get anything out of this, I think it will just be through the players being desperate for a trophy. Martinez has lost them along with the fans and the plot. Expecting a 3-0 loss personally but hopefully the lads step up. The incentive is clear — Watford or palace in a final! It's a golden opportunity.

Sadly for the last 25 years, Everton have been the clumsy hand fumbling at the bra strap of opportunity, and I'm fairly sure the only tit we'll be seeing on Saturday is a rapidly balding, relentlessly optimistic bulb of a manager.

Even forgetting about the abomination of last night, United have rolled us over twice this season based on pure organisation and clinical finishing.

We can't cope with that. And on a bigger stage, theyve got the players and manager to make sure they get over the finish line.

Our season is done. Players know if. Manager knows it.

It's actually worrying that I'm considering not going to the semi final just because I can't take much more of this. We haven't looked like a team for months now, there is no fight, no passion and that is purely down to Martinez. Seems he cant rally the players for games and they don't come much bigger than the semi final of the Fa Cup. I can't see a new manager being brought in before the end of the season, also I'm not sure how much that will benefit us. If we lose Saturday and the season is over. Simple as.

don't lose hope stranger things have happened than Everton winning a game,look at Liverpool beat palace 9-0 then got beat 4-3 by them in the cup 1990 it can happen lads cant it?
