Thought it was a good game in that it provided invaluable experience for loads of our younger lads. Also think that playing a stronger lineup and winning the game would NOT have been a better option, because we would not have been able to see what the likes of Ledson, McAleny and Browning have to offer. I am massively excited to see some of the talent we have coming through the ranks.

Pienaar has been poor to be honest. If Garbutt doesn't get a new contract I'll loose my head!

....don't think it's a matter of him being offered a new contract, the problem is him signing one. Knows he'll get few opportunities here, can make a few bob on a Bosman and get regular games elsewhere.

Personally think he should've played a couple more who were on the fringe of the first team, if only to give the youngsters who were playing a better chance to impress.

Overall I guess it served a purpose. Good for the lads who got their chance tonight.
