How many subs have we used? How many of the midfield know what their positions are and what's required of them? It would be something to work on.

If I could be arsed, I'd look into it. It's very rare for either player to score more than 5. Cahill evidently scores as many as both of them by himself.

Yeah, I probably am stubborn, but I believe I have a point. Last season was a good one in terms of goals for Osman. To ask him to get another 50% is a tall order. Whereas Cahill has proven season after season that he can do it.

No one at any point has said whoever replaces Cahill has to score the same amount of goals as him.

Its that Cahills goals would be spread about around not just the players i mentioned but other players as well meaning we could win games 2-1 with 2 different scorers rather than relying on Cahill to score and get a 1-1 draw.

Good effort from Jack, had a decent game. Unsurprisingly got less involved as the games gone on due tot he heat and fatigue

So Rodwell doesn't know his position? Or Barkley? Or Bilyaletdinov? He looked lost mate, just open your friking eyes.
A good formation with Cahill in it is Cahill partnering a striker, not in the 4-4-1-1 way, the 4-4-2. He's aging, he's losing pace, he doesn't have the needed technique for midfield. It's the cold truth, we just have to learn to accept it. Nothing is forever. This year he scored 10-11 goals, next year he may play the whole year, game in, game out, and score 5. Stop talking like football is some exact science.

Arteta league goals in the last five years: 9, 1, 6, 6, 3. Osman: 3, 4, 6, 2, 4.
