"Everton's forthcoming Premier League encounter with Chelsea has been moved to April 17.

The Goodison Park fixture has been brought forward from the weekend of April 19 and 20 in order for the match to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

The contest will kick-off at 8pm and is regarded as one of the pivotal matches for both sides as the end of the season approaches.

The game precedes the final three games of the season, with a home match against Aston Villa, a trip to Arsenal and a final day meeting with Newcastle at Goodison to follow."

Apparently Chelsea arent best pleased but i would imagine they were asked about it first and its obviously been sanctioned by the FA

Well the good news with that is that is has a better chance of being televised here in the USA then as it would be the only match that day I assume.

Am I allowed to swear on this forum?

Thursday seems an odd day to move it to, couldnt they of just made it an early kick off on Sunday? Not that i mind although it is inconsiderate for fans who now cannot make the game but we know no one cares about them.

I am [Poor language removed] gutted- this was going to be the only game I could get up to this season after I had to cancel plans to go up to Goodison to watch us against Sunderland because I broke my leg!!! Bastardo

Not sure if you're being sarcastic but I'll assume you're not. :)
Yes, those of us who live up to 50 miles away are lucky that we can actually get to games but most of us also have jobs and lives outside supporting Everton (only just mind) and have to plan ahead. I was happy to drive up from Builth Wells where I'm on holiday, drop the dogs off with someone, go to the match, then go back down. Only six hours or so during the day. Some supporters travel those distances for every home game so that's no hardship but doing that drive on a Thursday night, no thanks.

Most people know now that the the fixture list, as well as being fixed by Skyshite is subject to changes but those changes are usually from a Saturday to a Sunday but to actually bring it forward to a THURSDAY of all days....very annoying.
The world won't stop revolving just because I can't get to the match but the thing that makes me angry is the total disregard for the clubs and the supporters.
So, do I change my holiday plans again or just give my ST to a mate?
