I thought it was an excellent defensive exhibition against the current champions. Having said that, at some point we have to stop this underdog approach to teams in the top 4. We are gaining confidence and remembering how to defend, which is good, but I’d like to see the whole team move up the pitch about 20 yards........oh, I thought Jags had a great game, as did Keane, Pickford, Snides and well just about all the lads, they did what was asked of them.....

Not much in it between the defensive players. Pickford made some good saves, Martina, despite his limited ability and being played out of position deserves credit for sticking to his task, Jags did well, but I gave it to Keane, not just for how he played today, but he'd been out of form, so had a mental barrier to overcome.

More importantly, I'm a fiver up because a Chelsea fan I know fairly well was generous enough to make a bet on the result, and gave me the draw as well as a home win. Well in Derek.

..chuffed for my son. With me on Monday in the Park End and now in New York for a few days. Sent me a picture at 07.30am in Mr Denneheys Bar with a load of fellow Blues and a Guinness. Not sure where he gets that from but it’s great that we have so many supporters in the US supporting us.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all our fans on the other side of the pond.

I gave it to Pickford. He made some great saves and always came out to try and take the pressure off the defence.

The defence played really well, including Martina, who rarely got beaten despite what some people want to think.

Going forward our passing wasn't good enough as a team. DCL really needs to work on his distribution too. Some parts of his game are really good but some of his passes were miles off and his awareness was poor when Siggy was running in at the far post.

A gritty display and a very well earned point. Disappointing showing from Davies today, looked like he was trying to force things rather than just settle himself into the game. In contrast I don’t think Baningime did enough to impose himself and tended to mark space rather than actually go in to win the ball.

DCL worked hard and seems to have a great fighting attitude. I had hoped we would see a bit of chemistry between him and Sandro but not to be on that 45 mins anyway.

Wanted to vote DCL to counter the undeserved criticism he got. Honourable mentions to JJK and Cuco, honestly should have voted Pickford, but had to go for Jags.

Voted Snides as he seems to have put the early season behind him & the training ground bust up but great to see Keane showing his Burnley form.

Damn but DCL has a great first touch and works his socks off. Should be on the plane to Russia

Today was a team performance, so no one player stood out for me. They stuck to the plan, did the job required (not concede).
It was not pretty. It's what you should expect from an Allardyce team seeking stability after the dire mess left by a clueless leadership (from top to bottom).

Gone pickford myself, cheers Andy!vote, vote, vote!!!Williams out, holgate out, both been quality since allardyce arrived, leading goalscorer Rooney out too, would you take a 0-0 against the defending champions given the state of us a mere six weeks ago?too right I would, onwards Evertonians, see you boxing day at West brom.
