They played some decent football and are not far from being a good team. We looked desperately short of confidence, with no-one really trying to push us forward. Schneiderlin has taken to passing every ball backwards, and until Davies came on we were lacking in forward momentum. Rooney appeared to be badly clattered and it was right to take him off before he exploded and killed someone.

That referee. Surely the worst there has ever been?

DCL was my MoTM as he led the front line well all game and was tireless in his effort. He looked much more likely when he had a "strike partner" with him and we went two up front. Well one-and-a-half really. He was unlucky not to score and looks to be maturing into an extremely good player.

Which leads us to Niasse. I continue to right him off as a totally useless footballer, but then he scores another beauty - winning the ball back to set the move in motion and finishing a superb strike - two great goals in a week. He was johnny-on-the-spot for his second, but you have to be there to score it. He will never be good enough, not really, but lets enjoy his goals and this moment in time. Hat's off to Oumar, well done sir. Something I never would have predicted.

At one point I stood up when all 3 of our #10's were stood around while Gana was trying to find a pass, same when Baines had to turn back, shocking, stationary players not moving all waiting for the ball. Can RK not see this ?
Davies and the movement from Niasse was all it needed.

You'd think he would given everyone else in the ground sees it, yet he continues to pick all of them week in week out, it should be siggy in first and the team built around him at the top

Surely the lad in the lower bullens that after half an hour of Bournemouth wasting time grabbed the ball then give the finger to Daniels should be in with a shout for MOTM lol

Just watched a full match replay. Martin Atkinson defo Bournemouth's MOTM.
I watched the full match again yesterday too and have to agree. His booking of both Tom Davies and Oumar Niasse for innocuous tackles with minimal, if any, contact was bizarre if not criminal in my opinion. His not booking Bournemouth players for some of their tackles (Rooney's black eye springs immediately to mind - although he would have had to award a penalty if he booked the player) was also very strange. He is definitely not a Blues fan!

I saw on Sunday on the telly the way Ferguson was celebrating a goal for us against Bournemouth, I thought Christ, it is only against
Bournemouth after all, and the crowd were going mad, what's all the fuss? Well it is more than forty years ago when I was a young
lad aged 30, we went by special train to Swindon of the third division I think, we battered them 2-2 came back to Goodison the
following Tuesday for the replay, talk about frustration! We hit them with everything and it didn't look good, until Braveheart Dave
Jones got the ball in front of the Goodison terrace and ran and ran and ran til he smashed the winner in at Gwladys Street, I probably
got as excited as big Dunc that night. I must be getting cynical in my old age. A few rounds later that year a certain Clive Thomas was
waiting for us at Maine Road!

I would love to see that on SUnday but I think he will draft Martina back in and start Rooney, if he left Morgan out for Rooney would be cool
