Everton beat Bolton 3-1 this morning at Finch Farm to remain top of the league. Everton went ahead with a lovely taken goal from Femi Orenuga for his first goal this campaign. Everton increased the lead through Daniel Murphy to put the Everton academy 2 up at the break and in control with Bolton rarely causing problems in the first period. But early second half Bolton pulled one back which started from a free kick and Everton failed to clear the danger and a shot hit the back of the net to make it 2-1, GAME ON! Everton replied not long after through Hallm Hope to seal a 3-1 win and considering Bolton were top of this league for a good spell since the campaign they never really troubled us. Man of the match and possibly one for the future was Number 5 Johan Hammer, very strong in the air and tackle

I thought it was John Hammar?

Either way, I hope he makes it to the full team eventually. Just so we can abuse "Hammar time" puns.

Johan Hammer is centre half, he plays alongside Daniel Murphy

Nice one mate.

That Orenuga is the one we bought from Southend isn't it? How is he, do you reckon he is likely to make the move up?

That forward Hope is meant to be alright too isnt he?

Orenuga was from Southend, he has pace and can be tricky. he can be his own worst enemy and beat a man or two and want to take them on again. wouldn't like to say if he would make it as only time will tell. Hope yes looks good but has competion from Anton Forrester and Adam Thomas who has electric pace but has just come back from injury

Cheers for that mate!

Wolves in the Youth Cup on December 1st is next game. We beat them 2-0 earlier in the season but they are a pretty good team.

After that, we have Stoke away on the 4th who are near the bottom of the league.

Alan Ball - great update, you really should open a topic for updates regarding our junior teams.

One question - how is Ross Barkley's recovery progressing? I know he still has a long way to go, just would like to hear about him from time to time.
