Everton volleys

Jelavic v Spuds. That was a difficult volley he made look easy. Having to open his body up like that is a difficult skill to master.

I miss the Jelavic the boss slotter.

Sheedy scored loads of volleys, one at home in cup to Plymouth I think it was springs to mind, a right footed volley chip against Sheffield wed and our goal off the season in 89 was a volley against Derby I think??

Ferguson against Wimbledon was up there too

This is the Sharp v Spurs one that a few have mentioned. Incredible goal!

Another good one from the 80's...Kevin Sheedy against Villa:

If you can remember the 87 season, Heath scored a beauty after Sheedy chipped the entire Norwich back line to put through for the volley. I hope someone can find a clip of it on tinterweb?!!

My first away game, I had just turned 3 and my Dad took me as we basically clinched the league that day. He always tells me we had half the ground. All I remember was being amazed by villa having a badge on the roof

......Sharpy's goals V rs is the stuff of legends, but I wonder like others quoted if it is truly a 'volley'. For me a volley is a shot hit on the full and not via a bounce.

The goal that guy from Fulham scored last night was a cracker, similar to the one Crouch scored for Stoke against Man City last year.

However, call me bias but McFaddens goal against Charlton is right up there, even better in my eyes as there was no element of luck about it. The way he collected the ball, chipped it over the first defender and then placed it into the corner. Absolute class
