Is this what you say when Jelavic is caught offside as well?

Depends, Jelavic as a striker normally runs along the line so should be watching the line as he makes his run, its down to the midfielder to then release him.

As a midfielder your run is more direct so you are not looking across it you are breaking the line so its crucial the ball is right otherwise you will be offside.

Do you not see this?
