I was never impressed with Pellegrini's defence when he was a league winner with Man City, and now at West Ham I believe that will trouble his side while he is there (which may not be for long).

As the week has progressed our injury plight seems to have reduced and hopefully we will be able to field a much stronger side than initially thought.

A clean sheet would be nice, but almost unexpected currently. I think we have to go out and attack them from the start, neither side has been impressive defensively thus far this season. Given each game we have had a lull in the second half and let our opponents back into the game I don't think I'll feel comfortable until we have a three goal lead! lol

We really could do with winning this, and I think we will. I wouldn't be surprised if the game is full of incident. Hoping for an entertaining game and plenty of goals from us. COYB!

Oh get in the bin. Big question marks over you after reading that, to be honest.

So you're not at all concerned at our defending set pieces along with Silva's patchy defensive record in this league and his stubbornness to change from it?

We've also had one of the easiest starting fixtures of the league so 1 win out of 5 is yes very poor.

If your happy for the days of Martinez and superb 11th placed finishes then good for you but I want my Everton to actually compete for the top 6

Midfield three of Gueye, Davis and Sigurdsson. Kenny to start also. Walcott and Lookman to occupy wide position.

Not overly overly fussed between which CF starts (Tosun or DomDom)

I’m hoping Silva is not going to be that type of manager, the type we’ve had for decades who would have two fit wingers but play a central mid or striker on the other wing for some stupid reason like competing for long diagonals. Two wingers always fitness permitting if we’re playing a system that requires them.

I understand this but I think it's hard to leave out a lad who's got 3 goals in 2 games. I'm not sure it sends the right message?

No point scoring goals in a poor team performance. I like DCL. If he’s in form play him instead of Tosun (who I like as well), or play 442. 433 with a target man on the win doesn’t work for us.

I'm not sure it's 4-3-3 with him mate. He plays as a split striker. I understand people say the system is wrong. I'm not sure there's any evidence that we'd have scored a goal 2 weeks ago without him though. Lookman was ok but I'm not sure I'd say with any certainty that was the case.
